Outreach and Fundraising

CHARITIES WE SUPPORT:
Canadian Food for Children (Dr. Simone)
Wells of Hope

The Switchyard Youth Centre (Bancroft, Ont)
Bancroft and Area Pregnancy Care Centre
The Pikangikum Project
Due to the Covid Pandemic we are not at the Farmer's Markets this spring but rather, we have a Farmstand at the end of the laneway on our farm!  The farm is located at 929 East Road Loop, Hastings Highlands, which is about half-way between Bancroft and Combermere.  People have commented on the lovely country drive and have been happy to get out of the house to visit a "safe" place, out in the open fresh air.  The Farmstand is only open on selected dates so please follow us on Facebook if you want to kept up to date.  We hope to also have some Garden visits this year so that people can enjoy the gardens and have a complimentary cup of tea.

FOR PIKANGIKUM FIRST NATIONS:
Our Christmas Craft Sale and Tea
was held on Saturday Dec. 10, 2016.

This was a fund-raiser for Pikangikum, a First Nations community in Northern Ontario.  It was also an opportunity for local artists to showcase and sell their work.  We were very happy to raise over $1300 for Pikangikum with the funds going to help provide water and other essentials to the community, mostly through The Pikagikum Project.

The warm, caring atmophere of this event enabled  many important conversations to take place... as still so many Canadians really don't know the poverty that exists in our own country.  We are greatly thankful for all who helped make this fundraiser successful!

FOR GUATEMALA:  Wells of Hope Giant Yard Sale 2014:
Continuing from previous yard sales,  this was our biggest year, earning $2400 for the poor people of Guatemala through the Wells of Hope organization.  A special "thank you" to all  our volunteers, the parish of Saint Ignatius, and the great people of Maynooth and area.

Farmer's Markets 2014-2018 :
(Bancroft/Maynooth/Combermere)
A fun and rewarding experience, giving us some start up funds for new projects and to donate to the charities above.
